 About Brighton

Vast sun-soaked beachfront

Brighton's pebble beach houses a lengthy promenade full of cafes, shops and restaurants, as well as plenty of space for sunbathing and swimming. The 200-year-old Palace Pier has amusements and attractions for all ages, and offers awe-inspiring views across the bay and back towards the city. For sporting types, beach volleyball and watersports such as kayaking are all offered along the length of the seafront.

Rich in vibrant culture

Brighton plays host to numerous historic and modern cultural marvels. Construction of the Royal Pavilion started in 1787, as the seaside pleasure palace of King George IV. However, it has played many roles throughout Brighton's history - including as a hospital during the First World War. Nowadays, the Pavilion holds a museum and a wedding venue, and its extensive public gardens offer a quiet spot in the heart of bustling Brighton.
